Take 5 Early Intervention project
Resolve West is delighted to be working with partners including Avon & Somerset Constabulary, Victim Support, Young Victims Service, SWAN VOCAS and Safelink providing early intervention services in a rural Somerset community. We are working with young people in schools, parents, teachers and the community to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour, to prevent escalation of conflict, victimisation and re-victimisation.
This project will improve communities and relationships, enable greater understanding of choices, consequences and the impact of crime and anti-social behaviour. It will positively impact the health and wellbeing of staff, students, parents/carers and communities by
- Empowering people to resolve issues before they escalate
- Increasing awareness of signs and symptoms of potential negative behaviours
- Increasing confidence, skills and resilience in managing situations
- Increasing access to additional support
Our approach will place empowerment at the heart of its practice, to enable proactive practices to take place regardless of whether a harmful incident has happened or not and empower people to make decisions in and about their lives.
This pilot project commenced in 2019 and will run until the end of Spring 2022. For further information please contact the project coordinator, Simone Lemon at simone@resolvewest.org
