Trustee

We are a small charity based in Southwest England, committed to providing conflict resolution and restorative justice services. We are seeking new enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join us Trustees. We are particularly interested in applicants with experience of HR and fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the charity is effectively governed and operates within its vision, mission and values.
• Contribute to the development of the strategic direction of the charity.
• Support the Director and management team in achieving strategic priorities.
• Oversee financial management and ensure the charity’s financial stability.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity, promoting its work and building relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within the charity sector.
• Strong understanding of governance and financial management.
• Integrity, tact and diplomacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the principles of conflict resolution and restorative justice.
• Good independent judgment.

Application Deadline: We normally appoint trustees at our AGM in November. Applications can be made at any time but in order that we can complete the necessary formalities in time for the AGM, we require these by 30 September.
