Anna has always been captivated by the world of crime and the criminal justice system, which led her to pursue a BSc in Sociology and Criminology, followed by an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Her passion deepened through volunteering with the police, in prisons, and with the probation service. Ultimately, Anna realised her true calling was to work with both victims and offenders outside the formal criminal justice system.
Prior to joining us, Anna spent a decade in volunteer management roles across the public and charity sectors. She also served as a Commissioning and Policy Officer at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner. In her free time, Anna is dedicated to giving back to her community and helping others. She was a Trustee for a local charity for 10 years and spent several years as a befriender for Age UK. Currently, she volunteers for The Loop, a drug testing charity
I am passionate about working in the field of Restorative Justice because it is incredibly empowering. In the traditional criminal justice system process, neither victims nor offenders have control over the outcome. Restorative Justice, however, gives victims the opportunity to reclaim their power, allowing them to share their experiences and have their voices heard. At the same time, offenders gain a deeper understanding of the impact of their actions and take responsibility for them. I’ve witnessed first hand how Restorative Justice can transform lives, and it’s truly a privilege to be part of this process.
