Our Training Courses:

Introduction to Restorative Justice (Half day)

This introductory session explores the principles of restorative practice and helps participants develop a clear understanding of restorative approaches and questioning. It is ideal for people who are new to restorative ways of working.

Restorative Justice Facilitation (3 days)

Delivered by an advanced and accredited RJC Restorative Justice Facilitator and Supervisor, this in‑depth training covers the full Restorative Justice process from referral through to case closure.

You will learn how to safely prepare victims and perpetrators for restorative interventions, understand risk management and data protection, and develop strong active listening skills. The course also introduces the restorative script and provides extensive opportunities to practise facilitation using real‑life case studies, helping you feel confident in facilitating restorative cases.

Understanding Conflict (Half day)

Led by experienced conflict coaches and mediators, this interactive session helps participants better understand conflict and how it develops. Drawing on experience from neighbourhoods, communities, workplaces and homelessness settings, the training explores different conflict styles, how conflict escalates, and practical tools to prevent and de‑escalate conflict.

Active Listening and the Importance of Communication (Half day)

This session focuses on how communication can either fuel or resolve conflict. Using real‑life examples, participants explore what poor listening looks like, the impact it can have, and how good communication supports understanding and resolution. You will have the chance to reflect on and strengthen your own listening skills.

Conflict Coaching – Part One (3 days)

This intensive and interactive course supports participants to explore conflict in greater depth. Using real‑life examples, you will learn to recognise the difference between what people ask for and what they truly need.

The training develops understanding of the impact of conflict, active listening, effective communication and impartiality. You will practise coaching skills that empower people to resolve issues themselves, build self‑awareness and confidence, and feel better equipped to manage conflict in everyday situations.

Facilitating Those in Conflict (Mediation – 2 days)

This course builds on Part One of Conflict Coaching and focuses on mediation skills. Participants learn how to conduct initial meetings, identify needs, and plan joint meetings, including direct and shuttle mediation.

The training supports you to create safe and supportive spaces, manage difficult emotions and power imbalances, facilitate constructive conversations, support agreement‑building, and close meetings effectively with appropriate follow‑up.
