Jules has worked with Resolve West since 2003, but has worked in the voluntary sector much longer than that. She has built up extensive knowledge and experience from working as a volunteer, mediator, supervisor and coach, and from her work with organisations that support young people, including those at risk of homelessness. She also played a significant role in developing Bristol as a restorative city, going on to become Chair of Restorative Bristol.
As Director, Jules ensures our services offer the very best experience for the people we work with, as well as establishing relationships and developing positive partnerships with communities, voluntary groups, statutory and criminal justice agencies.
Alongside all of this, Jules has successfully raised money to run our core services and set up, led and managed a number of innovative projects, including bringing restorative interventions to road sharing; working with young people involved in street conflict and gang crime, and a rural community partnership to reduce anti-social behaviour and conflict in schools.
A strong leader and passionate advocate for all restorative approaches, Jules ensures our work is promoted and supported so we can continue to help build fair, peaceful and cohesive communities.
It feels such a privilege to lead Resolve West, overseeing the development of the agency over the past 21 years to where we are now. I feel so fortunate to be working with our funders, our partners, and our fabulous staff team and volunteers, all working together to make such a difference to people impacted by crime and conflict so that people are given the opportunity to feel empowered to take back some control, often after times of feeling like things are out of their control.
