Roger is a chartered accountant and a partner in Milsted Langdon where he leads the firm’s forensic accountancy team. He is a licensed insolvency practitioner and qualified with CEDR as a Civil and Commercial mediator in 2000. His interest in mediation led him to sign up as a volunteer with Resolve’s conflict resolution team at which time he also became the organisation’s treasurer.
Roger’s professional roles mean that he has attended mediations as expert witness, mediator and even on occasions, as a party when litigating as liquidator making claims against former directors. This means that he has seen mediations from several different perspectives.
Roger has had various other roles including being a non-executive director of the firm’s wealth management division and being the global chair of MGI Worldwide which was at the time one of the top 20 international accounting networks. He has advised over 500 victims of the Post Office Horizon Scandal by assisting them to calculate the compensation to which they are entitled.
Roger has previously been involved in several charities and has been treasurer of Headway Somerset and St Peter’s Hospice. He came to Bristol University over 40 years ago to study Physics and Philosophy and has never left!”
