We are delighted to announce that our Restorative Justice service has been awarded Registered Service Provider status with the Restorative Justice Council (The RJC).
Resolve West’s Leaders are committed to ensuring that staff and volunteers have quality resources to manage their work and enable them to deliver safe, consistent, and inclusive practice. They offer a robust package of supervision for staff and volunteers of all levels as well as good opportunities to network with other organisations.
RJC Registration Decision Report (February 2024)
Restorative Justice is a crucial aspect of the services we offer, and our Restorative Justice team works hard to assist and steer participants safely through the RJ process. To have achieved this status highlights the high standard of service we have been and will continue to deliver.
As part of this process, we had to demonstrate that we work to the RJC recognised framework which highlights key areas for service practice such as:
- Leadership
- Policies and Procedures
- Training and Development
- Support and Supervision
- Delivering quality Restorative Practices
- Maintaining Professional and Legal Standards.
Twelve of our volunteer practitioners underwent assessment against the RJC’s Registered Practitioner Framework and we are delighted to share that these practitioners have all successfully been awarded individual Registered Practitioner status.
To have achieved this important provider status enables us to continue to build public trust in Resolve West and the professional services that we deliver.
It clearly demonstrates to our commissioners, partners, and clients that we are providing a high-quality service and that our organisation and practitioners meet nationally recognised standards. It also shows our ongoing commitment to continually support and develop our volunteer and staff practitioners to ensure we continue to meet best practice standards.
Our Senior Case Manager, Anna Hill who obtained her Advanced Practitioner status also underwent assessment for Registered Case Supervisor status. This accreditation was part of a national pilot, so she is one of only five people in the country to hold this status, further evidencing the professionalism of our service.
This is a well-deserved acknowledgment of Resolve West’s commitment and tireless efforts in providing high-quality Restorative Justice services.
